TEMPORAL JOINS: Return new temporal bound columns with AS (newts, newte)
Created by: Piiit
Currently temporal bounds are returned with the column names tts
and tte
. This is hard-coded!
The correct way is one of the following:
- No aliases from user => Return coalesced temporal boundaries with the name of the left hand side argument of the join
- With aliases from user => Add a new syntax to explicitly name coalesced bounds
The syntax could be as follows:
SELECT * FROM ( s
JOIN PERIOD WITH (ts,te,ts,te) AS (newts, newte) r ON b=d ) c;
