Issue example
An issue is a piece of text which describes an idea, a desired feature, an improvement or a bug in the project. A new issue can be used for several purposes, for example:
- Submitting feature proposals
- Asking questions
- Reporting malfunction or problems
- Obtaining support The issue tracker is a web-based conversation thread using:
- Discussing ideas
- Elaborating new implementations
Each issue can have
- Due dates: a deadline in which the idea/new feature/improvement must be implemented or a buf/problem must be solved.
- Assignee: People responsible of implementing the idea/new feature/improvement or solving the buf/problem
- Labels: a tag to categorize your issues, to localize them in your workflow, and to organize them by priority with Priority Labels.You can also create ↳↳ Group Labels, which give you the ability to use the same labels per group of projects.
- Issue Weight: You can attribute an Issue Weight to make it clear how difficult the implementation of that idea is. Less difficult would receive weights ↳↳ of 01-03, more difficult, 07-09, and the ones in the middle, 04-06 (only in GitLab Enterprise Edition and GitLab.com).
